The FAO-Report “Food Wastage Footprint: Impacts on Natural Resources” is the first study to analyze the impacts of global food wastage from an environmental perspective, looking specifically at its consequences for the climate, water and land use, and biodiversity.
Right in time for this years UN Global Compact Leaders Summit 2013 in New York and its side session on “The Global Environmental Impact of Food Waste” the FAO provides reliable figures and new information about the topic.
